Martha’s Kitchen Souper Bowl-A-Thon

Join the Fun to Help a Good Cause!

Recruit people to build your team of four to five bowlers, (friends, family, co-workers, church members, etc.). They do not have to be bowlers or have any previous bowling experience – just be willing to raise a minimum of $100 each bowler (minimum of $500 dollars per team) and be ready to have a bowling blast!

You don’t need to be much of a bowler; this event is more about having a great time and supporting our community’s Soup Kitchen. Please keep in mind, we are the only Soup Kitchen in Franklin County and only one of the few in the state open 7 days a week, 365 days a year!

Don’t have an entire team? Don’t worry! Just sign up as an individual bowler and we’ll place you with some great people. Our goal is to raise $12,000 thru individual donations and event sponsorships. All Proceeds go directly to Martha’s Kitchen!

Please have your team meet for 9:30 so you can sign in, get your shoes, enjoy a simple breakfast and begin bowling promptly at 10:00 a.m. Come prepared for some good spirited competition, a chance to win great prizes and more! This isn’t your momma’s Bowl-a-Thon.

STEP 1: REGISTER TO BOWL

  • Become a Team Captain and CREATE A TEAM.  Come up with a clever name and Team Captain registers all their members. Team Packets will be emailed to the Captains.
  • SIGN UP AS AN INDIVIDUAL and we will create a team for you or find a place on a team.

Please use the “Sign Up To Bowl” form below.

STEP 2: FUNDRAISING

Captains will receive Sponsor Sheets for all Bowlers on their team. Every member is required to use the Sponsor Sheets to track all donations. Donations are encouraged to be submitted online using the “Sponsor a Bowler or Team” form below.

  • Have donors make donations in advance of the event on behalf of you or your team securely online with a credit card or debit card using PayPal.
  • When people donate on our Website through PayPal, be sure to have them make a notation that it is for the Bowl-a-thon and have them use your name in the comment section. OR they can write out a check directly to Martha’s Kitchen! (you can give the checks on the day of the event.)
  • Set a goal! We ask individuals to obtain a minimum of $100 in donations, but you can easily top that.  Do not underestimate yourself.  It’s easier than you think. Don’t wait until the last minute.  It’s never too early to start.
  • Just ask!  Don’t be afraid. Ask people to help you support our community’s Soup Kitchen!  No one is immune: family, friends, coworkers, your boss, neighbors, your dentist, people at your favorite bar or restaurant, church members, etc.  Most likely, your friends and family will want to support you, so don’t be shy! Be sure to let everyone know that their donations are tax deductible
  • Talk to your employer.  Many bosses are eager to get on board for a great community cause like this by donating to you or your team.  They may even want to check out the event sponsorship opportunities. Some companies do matching funds!
  • Each TEAM raises a minimum of $500
  • Each INDIVIDUAL bowler raises a minimum of $100
